Internships at Pure Abilities
Based in Indiana, Pure Abilities offers internships in recreational therapy and music therapy for students ready to put their training into practice. Our therapists serve clients with disabilities across a large portion of the state, and our interns work right alongside them, gaining hands-on experience delivering one-on-one, community-based therapy to clients of all ages and abilities.
Whether you’re a recreational therapy student completing your internship requirement or a music therapy student seeking clinical training, we’d love to hear from you. We’re always looking for talented, kind, and passionate people to join our team, and many of our therapists started as interns.

Current Openings
Recreational Therapy (CTRS) Internship
As an intern, you will work under the supervision of a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) who serves clients through Indiana’s Medicaid Waiver System. Alongside your supervisor, you will help plan and deliver individual and group recreational therapy services in clients’ homes and in the community.
Music Therapist—Board Certified (MT-BC) Internship
As an intern, you will work under the supervision of a Music Therapist - Board Certified (MT-BC) who serves clients through Indiana’s Medicaid Waiver System. Alongside your supervisor, you will help plan and deliver individual and group music therapy services in clients’ homes and in the community.
