Special Olympics Polar Plunge 2023

  • Matea County Park 8401 Union Chapel Road Fort Wayne, IN, 46845 United States (map)

Join Pure Abilities and our recreational therapists, music therapists, and behavior consultants at the 2023 Special Olympics Polar Plunge. This fun and safe event consists of individuals, organizations, and companies from all over Northeast Indiana, including Allen, DeKalb, Huntington, Noble, Steuben, LaGrange, Whitley, Wells, and Adams counties, raising funds through pledges and donations for the chance to take a "plunge" into the freezing cold water and prove they are Freezin’ for a Reason.

The Polar Plunge raises funds for state and local Special Olympics programs and generates awareness of the power of Special Olympics, which allows children and adults with intellectual disabilities to live active lives through socializing, exercise, and friendly competition. Currently there are over 18,000 athletes in Indiana that participate in at least one Special Olympics sport.
