Autism Society of Indiana and 3 Rivers Wesleyan Church this year to host our 2nd ever Sensory Friendly Trunk or Treat. We had such a blast a couple years ago with you and wanted to invite you to participate again.
The purpose of this event is to provide a fun and festive space for families who may have sensory needs. We encourage participants to decorate their trunks and pass out goodies to trunk or treaters. This can include but is not limited to candy, fruit, stickers, and/or fidgets. We also encourage you to bring business related materials such as fliers for families. Not only do we want to have a fun event for families but we’d also like to connect them with other resources in our community.
The day of our event will be October 28th, 5-7 pm.
In efforts to keep everyone safe at this event, we are limiting the amount of vehicle and having a trunk parked in every other spot. We will provide sanitation stations. As of now, masks are recommended but not mandated, this is subject to change as we will follow the Allen County Department of Health guidelines.
Pure Abilities recreational therapy, behavior management, and music therapy services will be in attendance to pass out candy and support the autism community.
